On 21st November 2016, Materials and Production Engineering program (MPE), TGGS organized a Wokshop with the topic "RWTH – TGGS Materials and Production Engineering Workshop 2016" at 6th floor, TGGS.
A Workshop is given the knowledge about Materials and Production Engineering by Mr. Bernhard Steenken, RWTH Aachen University, IBF and IEHK, Mr. Sebastian Wesselmecking, The collaborative research project SFB 761 "Steel-ab initio; quantum mechanics guided design of new Fe based materials", Mr. Marco Haupt, development of Efficient Production Routes for Advanced High Strength Steels - Ingot and Strip Casting, Mr. Panuwat Soranansri, Improvement of Die Service Life in Hot Forging Process of Bevel Gear by using Stress Ring and Ms. Angela Quadfasel, Characterization, cold forming and material application of high manganese steels.
Throughout this Block Lecture, the participants received a knowledge about "Steel - ab initio; quantum mechanics guided design of new Fe based materials", "Development of Efficient Production Routes for Advanced High Strength Steels - Ingot and Strip Casting", "Improvement of Die Service Life in Hot Forging Process of Bevel Gear by using Stress Ring" and "Characterization, cold forming and material application of high manganese steels".
