During 13th-17th March 2017, the Materials and Production Engineering program (MPE), TGGS organized the block lecture with the topic "Industrial Furnaces" at the conference room, 3rd floor, TGGS. 40 participants from industrial sector and 15 master students attended the lecture. The block lecture was given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Herbert Pfeifer from Department for Industrial Furnaces and Heat Engineering (IOB), RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Through this block lecture, the participants received a clear explanation about industrial furnace technology, principle of fuels and combustion in industrial furnace, energy balance of furnace and simulation of pusher type furnace in steelmaking plant.
