RAIL Asia Expo with RISE Symposium. The major conference event in rail and related infrastructure industries is held this year with the grand scale of RISE & RAIL Asia Expo 2018, co-organised by the Thai Railway Engineering Association (TREA) and Asia Exhibition Services Ltd. (AES). The events take place 28-29 March 2018, at Expo Hall, Airport Rail Link, Makkasan Station, Bangkok, Thailand.
Opening speech from Exhibition Organiser by Mr. David Aitken, Managing Director AES, Mr. Peraphon Thawornsupacharoen, Deputy Premanent Secretary, H.E. Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST)
Mr. Chaiwat Thongkamkoon, Director General of the Office of transport ans Traffic Policy and Planning, Ministry of Transport, acting as Chaiman of this RISE Symposium, stated that: “Under the theme of ‘The Future of ASEAN Rail’ the conference programme this year will feature a stream of topics related to rail and metro issue plus discussion of government’s US$ 22.5 billion transport infrastructure plans for Eastern Economic Corridor”
Mr. David Aitken, Managing Director of AES, commented that: RISE & Rail Expo 2018 are set to become the largest and most important trade platform for the rail and metro sector this year. It constitutes a powerful and important gathering of rail professional with full government, industry and stakeholder support. Over 3,000 operators, consultants, suppliers and investors in rail and metro networks, are expected to attend.
Including booth from academic and universities who involved in education and research in Railway and Infrastructure fields. The Sirindhorn International Thai- German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok joined the exhibition to introduce new department and curriculum “Railway Vehicle and Infrastructure Engineering” to public and have a great discussion and talk with researcher and specialist from TGGS leading by Dr. Alex Breezing.
