Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, German Embassy in Bangkok visits TGGS.
On August 9, 2018, Dr. Alexander Raubold, Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, German Embassy in Bangkok, visited the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS) to discuss academic collaboration opportunities with Asst. Prof. Dr. Monpilai Narasingha, Dean of TGGS. Dr. Raubold also took this opportunity to visit several laboratories at TGGS after the meeting.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nisai Fuengwarodsakul, lecturer in the Department of Electrical Power and Energy Engineering (EPE), presented his research to Dr. Raubold and showed him around the laboratory, which is located on the 4th floor.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Suramate Chalermwisutkul, lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering (CE), presented his recent work on CubeSAT, a cube-shaped miniature satellite developed by researchers and students at TGGS and KMUTNB. CuteSAT is set to launch into orbit in August 2018.
After that, Dr. Raubold visited the Department of Software Systems Engineering located on the 8th floor. Mr. Alexander Dresler, researcher at SSE, showed Dr. Raubold around the laboratory and introduced him to VR technology and his work on VR simulation software.
