IoT Exploratory 2025

Overview

An immersive 4-day event combining hands-on workshops, lab tours, and challenges, designed to ignite students’ passion for the Internet of Things (IoT) and its applications in healthcare and well-being. Participants will explore different aspects of IoT technologies through practical experimentation and collaborative learning.

The entire event will be hosted at TGGS, KMUTNB from 31 March to 3 April 2025.

Join us for free! Selected teams may also qualify for a support grant covering travel and accommodation expenses, up to 9,000 THB per person.

How to Join

1. Ensure you meet all requirements.
2. Form a team of exactly 3 university students (team members can be from different universities).
3. Complete the application form and submit it to us at: iotexp2025@tggs.kmutnb.ac.th

Activities

Interactive workshops: Engage participants in hands-on exploration of Microcontrollers, Single-Board Computers, sensors, actuators, networking, cloud integration, and data analytics. Project-based learning: Challenge participants to apply and showcase their newfound knowledge by working collaboratively with expert guidance on small projects with real-world applications in healthcare and well-being. Lab visit: Introduce participants to research groups, laboratories, and state-of-the-art facilities at TGGS/KMUTNB to provide unique insights into IoT-related research and development. Networking: Connect with peers, faculty mentors, and industry professionals.

IoT technology: Learn what IoT is, how it works, and some examples. Controller, Sensors, and Actuators: Discover the components that make IoT devices smart. Connectivity and Communication: Dive into how IoT devices communicate. Building Your Own Projects: Your team will design and build IoT projects targeting innovative healthcare.

Requirements

• Team Composition:
  • Each team must consist of exactly 3 members.
  • Team members can be from different universities or institutions.
  • Each member can join only one team.
• Eligibility:
  • The applicant is a bachelor’s student in engineering or any STEM-related field.
  • The applicant has basic computer programing skills.
  • University Status: Applicants must maintain active university student status in a higher education institution in any country during the entire event.
  • Eligible participants include Thai, international, exchange, and internship students.
  • A certified copy of the student ID card issued by the university is required for verification.
  • Age Requirement: Open to individuals aged 18–35 years as of the application closing date.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
• Participation Requirements:
  • All selected teams must commit to attending the 4-day event at TGGS, KMUTNB, Bangkok from 31 March to 3 April 2025.
• Travel and accommodation:
  • Participants must arrange their own travel and accommodation. Grant reimbursement is available upon approval.
• Funding and Expenses:
  • Selected teams may qualify for a travel and accommodation grant (up to 9,000 THB per person).
  • Travel and accommodation expenses exceeding the grant amount must be borne by the participants.
•  Language:
  • All sessions, workshops, and presentations will be mainly conducted in English. Although some assistance in Thai may be provided.
• Conflict of Interest:
  • Applicants must not be immediate family members of organizers from TGGS, KMUTNB.

มาร่วมกิจกรรมสุดพิเศษ 4 วันที่เต็มไปด้วยการเรียนรู้และค้นคว้าเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Workshop) การเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการ และกิจกรรมโครงงานกลุ่ม ซึ่งออกแบบมาเพื่อจุดประกายความสนใจของนักเรียนในเทคโนโลยี Internet of Things (IoT) และการนำไปใช้ในด้านการดูแลสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้สำรวจแง่มุมต่างๆ ของเทคโนโลยี IoT ผ่านการทดลองเชิงปฏิบัติและการเรียนรู้ร่วมกัน

• การจัดทีม:
  • ทีมต้องประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 3 คนพอดีเท่านั้น
  • สมาชิกในทีมสามารถมาจากต่างมหาวิทยาลัยหรือสถาบันได้
  • สมาชิกแต่ละคนสามารถเข้าร่วมได้แค่ทีมเดียว
• คุณสมบัติ:
  • ผู้สมัครเป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีในสามาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ หรือสาขาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ STEM
  • ผู้สมัครมีความสามารถพื้นฐานในการเขียนโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์
  • สถานะนักศึกษา: ผู้สมัครต้องมีสถานะเป็นนักศึกษาของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในช่วงกิจกรรม
  • ผู้เข้าร่วมที่มีสิทธิ์ได้แก่ นักศึกษาไทย, นักศึกษาต่างชาติ, นักศึกษาฝึกงานและนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยน
  • ต้องแนสำเนาบัตรนักศึกษาที่ได้รับการรับรองจากมหาวิยาลัยเพื่อยืนยันสถานะ
  • อายุ: เปิดรับผู้สมัครอายุ 18-35 ปี ณ วันที่ปิดรับสมัคร
  • สัญชาติ: รับสมัครจากทุกสัญชาติ
• ข้อกำหนดการเข้าร่วม:
  • ทีมที่ได้รับการคิดเลือกต้องยืนยันการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม 4 วัน ณ TGGS, KMUTNB กรุงเทพฯ ระหว่างวันที่ 31 มีนาคม ถึง 3 เมษายน 2568
• การเดินทางและที่พัก:
  • ผู้เข้าร่วมต้องจัดการเดินทางและที่พักเอง โดยสามารถขอรับการสนับสนุนค่าเดินทางและที่พักตามเกณฑ์ที่ได้รับการอนุมัติ
• การสนับสนุนและค่าใช้จ่าย:
  • ทีมที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกอาจมีสิทธิ์ได้รับเงินสนับสนุนสำหรับการเดินทางและที่พักสูงสุด 9,000 บาทต่อคน
  • ค่าใช้จ่ายที่เกินจากเงินสนับสนุนจะต้องรับผิดชอบโดยผู้เข้าร่วม
• ภาษา:
  • กิจกรรมทั้งหมดจะใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นหลัก และอาจมีการช่วยเหลือด้านภาษาไทยในบางกรณี
• ข้อห้ามเกี่ยวกับความขัดแย้งทางผลประโยชน์:
  • ผู้สมัครต้องไม่เป็นสมาชิกในครอบครัวโดยตรงของผู้จัดงานจาก TGGS, KMUTNB
